Food Preparation

Food preparation covers the appliances that do the chopping, mixing, blending and puréeing for you, from a quick hand blender for soup to a full-size food processor for weekly batch cooking.
Most of this section is KitchenAid: food processors from the 1.7 litre compact model to the 2.1 and 3.1 litre versions, 1.19 litre food choppers, Classic and cordless hand blenders with accessories, 7 and 9 speed hand mixers, the K150 blender and the cordless KitchenAid Go system that shares one battery across several tools. Gastroback adds smoothie makers, and Dualit offers a polished hand mixer.
When choosing, think about how much you cook at once. A chopper handles onions, herbs and nuts; a food processor slices, grates and kneads; a hand blender is ideal for soups and baby food straight in the pan. For more specialised machines, see food processors, blenders and KitchenAid mixers, or browse the KitchenAid range.
